It became a tribute tea during the Qing dynasty. It has the classic Chinese green tea qualities of steamed bok choy and toasted nuts.
From Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China where it is produced mostly by hand and has been renowned for its high quality.
The tea leaves can be eaten after infusion.
